A look at: Earthfall.

This is a series I'm looking to start that takes a look at games in Early Access, or that have been mentioned that have taken my fancy. I've not necessarily bought them yet, but I might. I figured if I find them pretty cool/attention worthy, some of you might to, so the more people that know about it, the better.
So today I'm going to be taking a look at Earthfall. This game has been known about for roughly a year, and is currently in Steam Early Access, and honestly, the best way to describe this game is Left 4 Dead, but with aliens, and a touch of the PvE variant of Fortnite. Basically the game lets you setup barricades and walls etc to help you handle the onslaught of aliens.

The game has moved on quite a bit from there, and there's a few gameplay videos knocking around Steam if you're interested in seeing if the game is for you. From what I've seen of the game it looks like it is pretty much Left 4 Dead, but they've subbed out aliens instead of zombies.
The game is currently going for about £11, so honestly, I don't really have many issues with the game, the main one being that from the gameplay trailers I've seen, the gunplay does not seem very rewarding, little to no recoil on the guns, and the sound effects are just missing a bit of kick.
If you're eagerly awaiting a Left 4 Dead 3, then maybe this can tide you over until they announce it, work on it, realise it exists etc, we all know how bad Valve are with games that have the number "3" in them.

Looks like the game will be releasing fully on July 13th 2018, so mark that in your diaries. In the meantime, if I pick this game up, I'll let you know what I think
